A few days of heaven

Last week Ryan and I took off on a much-needed vacation alone.  Ryan's mom was a saint and stayed with the kids for 3 days.  (She followed the pages of instructions and had everybody where they needed to be with gear and snacks in tow.  Life looks so complicated when you try to bullet point instructions for each day!)  How do you ever thank a Grandma for that?!?!...I vow to off the same support to my kids someday in a "pay-it-forward" method!

At Thomas Jefferson's home, Monticello

We spent our time in Charlottesville, a college town--about 2 hours away.  It's packed with history, old-town beauty and good food.  We had the perfect balance of being completely lazy and enjoying touring, watching a play, eating and sleeping more than I thought I knew how!  Heaven!  I'm truly lucky to be married to my best friend and biggest supporter.  What a blessing it is in life to love and be loved!

Looks so nice! I'm currently planning Ben and I'd first night away without the children. I've booked my parents already and we aren't going anywhere till September! We haven't been 'out' on a date for a year just had some'date nights' at home but I can't tell you how much I'm looking forward to it! I'm debating between a night in London and seeing a show or going to Stratford-upon-Avon...Glad you had a great time!

Oh Janae! I am so glad you guys were able to get away. There is nothing else like getting away with the hubby.
I miss you! It's been forever since we have caught up! Hang in there with this pregnancy. It's so hard. I will be also praying for your sweet baby girl. I can't wait to see pictures of her and to meet her. You are truly an amazing Mom.
